What we've been up to the last month:

The Syracuse Day's Parade
Chalking our porch...

Squirt gunning:

House Progress!

It's been two weeks and they have gotten a lot done! They even said it would only be about 6 more weeks till we can close!!!! I'm so excited I could pee my pants, but I won't.... Here's this weeks pictures:
You can't tell, but the brick is red-ish with dark and lighter brown mixed in...

Looking in the front door.

The kitchen.

Two awesome closets in the basement and a huge bedroom in the back. (there's going to be SO much more storage in the house compared to our apartment....I don't know what I'll do with it!) Mike, my dad and Caleb went in after hours and wired for surround sound. It cost like $14 and only took 30min. The builder wanted to charge us around $300 to do it for us! What a rip, huh?! So thanks Dad and Caleb!

That's the view out of the front looking south. It shouldn't ever change because there is a "green zone" across from us then a little hill and a baseball park a ways down.

That's the view to the west. I just love the giant green dumpster! I hope that stays.....Aren't the mountains so pretty! That view won't be blocked by a new house or anything either. The green zone goes all the way to where the road ends right now.

There is an empty lot on either side of us that haven't sold yet but a house on either side of those. Some day in the future (if the economy ever picks up) they will add to the end of our road to more houses, but a little to the north-west the school district owns some property for a new elementary school. That would be sweet if they got it done before Lucy goes to school. Then she could walk! (Two years! Get cracken!) There is also a pretty good water park/pool about 2 min from us AND the Walgreen's is just outside of our neighborhood about 4 mins away. It's a really good area. A little hill-billy-ville and a little new development. Rush hour up there is nothing. It's like a quiet happy little town. Like my Kaysville used to be....

Well...6 weeks!!!!!!!! It doesn't seem real yet.

Happy Father's Day!

We Love You Mike! Thanks for all you do, for all the studying you have done for school, and all the long hours of work! We can't wait for you to be an official Pharmacist and start the next stage in our lives!

House Progress!

It actually looks like a house! YAY!!!!
This is looking in from the front door, then down the hall.
This is the kitchen.

Wisdom of Children

Today Lucy was drawing shapes. She drew a circle, an oval, a square and then a "Mexigon" which aparently is a mix of a circle and a triangle. So, do date, Lucy has invented two new shapes. The rectagon and the mexigon.

The other day Lucy came to me with a puzzled look on her face. "Who is Light Buzzer?" It took my a while to put it together. We had just watched Toy Story for the first time a few days ago. It was Buzz Lightyear!
(5-18-10)

Lucy was giving names to some of her pets: "Kitten Ditten, Hog Dog, and Chickie Dickie."
(5-21-10)

Lydia was playing catch with aunt Krista, but she would look away when Krista threw the ball. So when Lydia had the ball, Krista told her to "keep your eye on the ball." Lydia thought for a second, then put the ball right up to her eye, then threw it back. Good job following directions Liddy!

Lydia: Mom! I tell you a story... Pon a time, a girl fall down, go to doctor, get shot!
OR
Lydia: Pon a time, green pants scarry, they be nice, say "hi", the end. (this one is from Dr. Seuss's "What was I afraid of?" aka, the pale green pants)
OR
Lydia: Pon a time, girl sees tiger, scary! Girl cries, tiger be nice.

This one's from Mike, "A good pair of shoes can make a bad outfit look ok." (He's kinda got a shoe fettish)

My girls...

The girls seem to be playing together better lately.(thank heavens!) Their favorite things to play are Disney princesses and dress ups. Are they girls or what!? Most of the time one of them wants to play together and the other one doesn't. Here is a video of them dancing together in the kitchen. As you can see, Lucy was pretty bumbed that Lydia stopped dancing with her. I can't wait till we have more room for them to play in our new house!!!!

This is a picture of Lydia actually smiling. She was sitting on her little potty so she was holding still and I had to take advantage of the moment!

House Progress!

Now it's a slab!

They poured the basement and garage slabs and back filled this week. Not the most exciting stage, but progress just the same.

Mom, momma, mommie, mom, momma, mommie

Do you ever have moments like this?
(Just for the record, I don't watch this show, I just saw this clip on another blog. Just had to set that straight.)

House Progress!

Our hole sweet hole
We may have lived in "holes", but now we officially own a hole...
 in the ground.
It's finally becoming reality! No more apartments! (with pot smoking, binge drinking, partying neighbors!)
