Does Minnie know where Micky is?

I was cleaning up the girls toys after they went to bed and just noticed something looked a little funny...

"Look at our plant!"

That's what Lucy says every morning when she comes in the kitchen. She is loving having a plant to take care of. Maybe it's a sign that she will be a good helper in the yard when she's older?!

Wisdom of Children

In the evening when Mike is getting ready for work Lucy asks him where he's going. Mike says, "I have to go to work." Lucy replies, "Ok. Go make me some money."

We were at the mall and walking through the food court. When we passed Mrs. Fields Lydia stopped and stared at the giant cookie in the display case. After a minute she reached in and grabbed an imaginary hand full and took an imaginary bite, then continued on her way.

Lucy was telling Mike how she loved to eat a certain treat and how she thinks it's ok for her to eat a lot of them. Then she said that it would be ok if Mike ate alot of them. Then Mike said he can't because he's older. Then instead of stopping at that, Mike started to get into how your metabolism decreases when you get older and you can't eat as many calories, etc. Then he caught himself and realised that he was talking to a 3 year old and laughed at himself.

This morning Lucy was being unusually friendly to Mike. I asked her if she was being Daddy's buddy today. She said "Uh hu, but I still love you."

I asked Lucy if she loved her sister and she replied, "I don't like her, but I love her." Isn't that the way it goes with sisters sometimes?! Such honesty.

We went to the park and Lucy saw a pink jacket on the ground. She picked it up and walked around asking all the kids if it was their jacket. Finally a little girl took it and said it was hers. Then Lucy gave her a look and said "Why did you leave it on the ground?"

Lydia's new talking skills: "No, I do it!", "Es buggen' me", "I spy wit me eye."(when we play the game in the car. She thinks that's all there is to it.) She's saying alot more sentences now. And surprisingly she says "please" and "thank you" alot, but she whispers them. It's pretty cute.
