Uncle Jim made sure Lydia learned what taffy was!

The fireworks will have to wait another year. Lucy was pretty freaked out by them. Mostly the loud ones. Lydia didn't care for them much either. We left early, and on the way home Lucy says "I didn't like the fireworks, did I?" So, maybe next year!
Jim just go into town and we all went to play in the water at the gateway mall today. Lucy knew what it was all about and was the first one wet. (totally soaked) Lydia took a while to get into it. Eventually she was walking around like she was one of the big kids. They had a blast, especially when the music came on.
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. --President Gordon B. Hinckley, 2006
