Splashen' at Circe's

The girls had a blast playing in the water with their cousins. At the end Circe gave em all a popcicle. Lydia preferred sucking on the stick and holding the popcicle. I tried to help her get it the right way, but she would have none if it!

Cherry Hill, here we come!

We went to Cherry Hill with Circe's fam, and grandma and grandpa Collier. It was a blast!

Silly things Lucy has said

Lucy fell down and "hurt" her toe. I asked her if she was ok. In between fake cries she said, "I'm heartbroken."

Uncle Jim is coming to visit Utah for the 4th of July. Lucy heard us talking about it and jumps up all excited and says "Jim is coming and he's bringing a party!"

Usually I let Lucy get a sip from her cup before I put the lid on, but I forgot and started putting the lid on. Lucy yells, "Goodnight! I want a drink!" I have no idea where she got that from!5/28/09

Lately Lucy has been pretending that her bites of food are little people. I asked her to get a bite and she said, "This is a nice guy. I'm not even going to eat him."

On Sunday mornings we usually have french toast, but we made waffles because we just got a new waffle maker. Lucy was really upset and said "I want french toast. I don't want awfuls."

Today, Lucy told me "I'm a princess and you're a queen." Then she turned back around and said, "And you get old and a witch." Thanks, Lucy.

For Lucy's nap I told her she could sleep on my floor or on my bed, but she wanted to sleep on her floor. I told her my bed or floor were her only options. She said, "I don't want your auctions, I want my own auctions." I don't know if she knows what options are, but I think she's catching on too quickly!

On the way home from Grandma's I was telling Lucy that when we got home it was time for bed. Lucy responds "When I go to sleep I'm going to cry, sorry." At least she's giving me fair warning.

The fireworks will have to wait another year. Lucy was pretty freaked out by them. Mostly the loud ones. Lydia didn't care for them much either. We left early, and on the way home Lucy says "I didn't like the fireworks, did I?" So, maybe next year!

Gateway water...whatever you call it...

Jim just go into town and we all went to play in the water at the gateway mall today. Lucy knew what it was all about and was the first one wet. (totally soaked) Lydia took a while to get into it. Eventually she was walking around like she was one of the big kids. They had a blast, especially when the music came on.

Notice the purple skirt. Lucy wears it every day. Also note how they thought it was funny when Lucy gagged Liddy with the measuring spoon. That's when I had to break it up.

Syracuse Days Parade

We went to the second annual Syracuse Day's parade with grandma Stacy and Circe and the

girls. It was a great parade. Early in the morning, short, and lots of candy! Lucy had a blast, but Liddy was really tired. It was nap time.

Underneath all that mess is a little figure of sleeping beauty. Lucy made a "dress" for her. If she's thinking design school, she'd better hope they are into new fashions.
