Syracuse Days Parade

We went to the second annual Syracuse Day's parade with grandma Stacy and Circe and the

girls. It was a great parade. Early in the morning, short, and lots of candy! Lucy had a blast, but Liddy was really tired. It was nap time.

Underneath all that mess is a little figure of sleeping beauty. Lucy made a "dress" for her. If she's thinking design school, she'd better hope they are into new fashions.

Grandma's taken us to the Zoo!

Lucy kept asking Kelsie or grandma out of the blue if they wanted to go to the zoo with her. She would walk up to Kelsie and say "I'm going to the zoo. Wanna come?" So, Grandma decided we'd better take her to the zoo. Lucy was SO excited! We went on the train ride first. Lucy said she got a little scared (when we went through the dark tunnel.)

The first animal we saw was the elephant. I was just standing there at first, but then it decided to give us a real show. It spread it's legs and peed for like a whole minute. Lucy had to watch the whole time. She's fascinated with anything potty right now.

The favorite animal was the giraffe. We got close enough to feed it some branches and it was the only animal that really looked at us. It even posed for a picture.

Liddy was fascinated by anything that moved. Even the little sparrows that flew around eating the crumbs. She would point and say "wuzzat!" (what's that)

The girls were really good even though it was nap time. But they were tired by the time we were done. Grandma bought them these cute stuffed animals. Lucy traded for the giraffe later. It was her "favorite." Lucy fell asleep in the car as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot.

Lydia is walking like a pro now! Just about 2 day's after her birthday she finally decided that she was good enough at it to stop crawling and start walking all over!

This is crazy time! At about 6:00 at night the girls either get really onery or get really crazy and start running all around the house. That's why they go to bed at 7:00!

Wheel Barrow Rides with Grandpa!

I took the girls over to play in the yard at Mesha's new house and grandpa thought it would be fun to have wheel barrow rides. Lucy was being onery and wouldn't try, but Lydia had a blast!

Happy First Birthday Lydia!

Lydia was VERY interested in the cupcakes on the table. But once she got one on her tray she didn't know what to do with it. She just kept leaning into it trying to get a bite without her hands. Mike finally helped her by just shoving it in her face. She thought that was pretty funny! Then she was all over it. Lucy helped us sing happy birthday to her. Then she didn't know what to do with the present either, but once we got it out and put together she liked it.
